What is your cancellation policy?
If something changes on your end we offer a full refund up to 72 hours before your scheduled sail. We are happy to reschedule your sail based on your needs and our availability. If the weather is not favorable or safe for sailing we will need to cancel and will do our best to accommodate you at another time or of course offer a full refund.
What should I wear?
A cold sailor is not a happy sailor. We want you to be comfortable. Dress in light layers as the weather can be cooler on the water compared to on the land. Light blankets are available on board. Soft soled non slip shoes are best. Bring swim gear in the summer months!
Can we bring food and drink on board?
Absolutely ! We just ask that no red wine for staining reasons. We have a full galley with everything you will need .Water ,ice and light snacks are provided.
Should I tip the Captain?
Tipping is customary and greatly appreciated! While 20% gratuity is average, tips should be based entirely on your satisfaction.
Where is the boat docked?
Wind is docked at Discovery Pier -13271 S.W. Bayshore Drive Traverse City 49684. To Park pull in to the drive directly across the road from the marina. Call us at 231-421-7000 with any questions.

Upon your arrival, the crew will review the safety protocols and ask you to sign a liability waiver.
Bachelorette Party Sailing Tours: What to Bring & What to Expect
We love hosting bachelorette parties on the water! Here’s what to know before you set sail:
- Group size: We can comfortably host up to 6 guests per boat. Bigger crew? No problem, we’ll bring in a second boat and anchor alongside so everyone stays together.
- Drinks: It’s BYOB! Bring your favorite bottle or cooler, and we’ll have a full galley stocked with ice and cups ready for you. Please note, red wine isn’t allowed on board as it can stain.
- Swimming: Jump right in, we provide floaties and inflatable paddle boards so everyone can enjoy the water.
Traverse City Sunset Cruises: What to Bring & What to Expect
It can cool off after sunset, so bring a light jacket to stay cozy. Drinks are BYOB, and we’ll have a full galley ready for you. You’ll also get a private bench seat at the front of the boat, the best spot to take in the view.
What to Bring on a Grand Traverse Bay Charter
We recommend comfortable, soft-soled shoes to keep you steady on board. Feeling adventurous? Swimming is always an option, so bring your suit if you’d like to take a dip. Drinks are welcome, just no red wine, as it can stain.
