Do we need to book in advance?

We welcome last minute reservations but to reserve your preferred date and time please book online or please call us at 231-421-7000 with any questions.

Are pets welcome?

We understand traveling and having your pet with you. We do welcome well behaved dogs that will be comfortable on the boat but please call  in advance to give us a heads up!

What is your cancellation policy?

If something changes on your end we offer a full refund up to 72 hours before your scheduled sail. We are happy to reschedule your sail based on your needs and our availability.  If the weather is not favorable or safe for sailing we will need to cancel and will do our best to accommodate you at another time or of course offer a full refund.

What should I wear?

A cold sailor is not a happy sailor.  We want you to be comfortable.  Dress in light layers as the weather can be cooler on the water compared to on the land.  Light blankets are available on board. Soft soled non slip shoes are best.  Bring swim gear in the summer months!

Can we bring food and drink on board?

Absolutely ! We just ask that no red wine for staining reasons. We have a full galley with everything you will need .Water ,ice and light snacks are provided.

Should I tip the Captain?

Tipping is customary and greatly appreciated!  While 20% gratuity is average, tips should be based entirely on your satisfaction.

Where is the boat docked?

Wind is docked at Center Pointe Marina (12935 S West Bay Shore Drive, Traverse City Michigan 49684). To  Park  pull in to the drive directly across the road from the brown center point building(has seagulls on it). Use the pedestrian tunnel that goes under the road. Your Captain will meet you at the white tent that says Great lakes Sailing.  Call us at 231-421-7000 with any questions.

Safety and Liability Waiver

Upon your arrival, the crew will review the safety protocols and ask you to sign a liability waiver.
